2008-06-26 Finn MacCool's Irish Pub
WOW, WOW, WOW. I'll say it again backwards WOW!! We loved tonight, we loved the crowd!! To all SA bands, we apologize that we have the best audience in town, and also sorry to tell you they aren't for sale, they are too valuable. What a night!! When you play the audience is such a important part of the performance. When they respond, its like a chemical reaction that just keeps climbing, they just keep pulling the best out of you. We applaud you. We thank Steve and Eugene from the 'Spoonmen' for inviting us to play. We hope we will be back at Finn's real soon.

2008-05-31 World Vision Myanmar Burma Cyclone Relief Event
Well being the opening act for the night can sometimes prove to be like a bit of a practice session, as people tend to get places later on in the night, but this proved for us the opposite. The event was a brilliant showcase of the bands ability to not only pull more people than any other act but also providing some food for thought when considering Point of Difference in a line up of bands. We were glad to have deposited a good portion of money to the event in door takings and those that came really were pleased that we had asked them to come. A great line up of talent performed and by the end of the night, the lads where happy with their baptism into Adelaide's pub n club scene. A strong start and one we can look back on fondly, just as the Beatles can look back to the Cavern - Liverpool, as their birth place into music history. Thanks to The Cavern Adelaide for supporting Adelaide original bands, you rock!!!
29-03-2008 - PRISON FELLOWSHIP LEADERS MEETING - PARKSIDE - ADELAIDE - SOUTH AUSTRALIA A small meeting of about 80 people gathered in a small College hall in Parkside for what was to be a fantastic night.
This night was a gathering of the Prison Fellowship of Australia/SA where a new Chairman was installed, Luca Mercorella, and we had the priviledge of supporting the evening musically. Being a 5 piece band was interesting to say the least in a hall designed to enhance 'speaking', acoustically it was a challenge, but the group loved what we delivered and as a result, Point of Difference now have the priviledge of playing to the inmates of all South Australia's prisons.
23-02-2008 - PT PEARCE - SHOW FOR INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY - PT PEARCE COMMUNITY HALL - SOUTH AUSTRALIA
What can I say, Pt Pearce was an eye opener.
This is small community just outside of Maitland, on the York Peninsula, ravaged by drugs, violence, alcohol abuse, incest, you name it Pt Pearce has or is feelin the pain. Every home has security mesh on every window door, it was like driving past little prisons.
Mentally & physically washed out, a place that looked like even God had forgotten about. Once a beautiful sea side town of 2000 has been reduced to no more than 200 hurting people slowly reducing, due to hopelessness, despair and eventually suicide.
The new local regional pastor, Ps Grant Hayes invited us to come and play our music to assist him in bringing some fun to a hurting indigenous community, so we said yes!! He used to be a hitman so it was hard to say no....only joking :) But he was a hitman!!
We played a variety of original songs from our line up, joined by 2 other people telling their individual story of hope, who where part of Ps Grant's team, and a brief yet powerful message from Ps Grant which lead those who wanted to participate, a place to make a decision to better their lives and follow on with Ps Grant's life changing message of hope and forgiveness.
24-12-2007 - DEBUT SHOW - XMAS EVE - COMMUNITY EVENT - ELIZABETH - SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Point of Difference had the pleasure of playing to a capcity crowd that gathered for Paradise Community Church North's Annual Christmas Eve Show. The boys were asked to be a part of the celebrations were a majority of the attendees had found themselves falling on hard times at Christmas and the church put the night on to help relieve some of the sadness that can surround such a difficult time. Food, presents and even a brand new bike were handed out, many and a great night. Point of Difference enjoyed supporting the event with our usual rock flavour of tunes we provided. Some positive feedback from the organiser was the bands present from the evening and as debut shows go, we were stoked!!
