Some 15 years ago a band called 'The Claim' was formed by 4 musicians who had a burning desire to leave their mark on music history in Australia. Steve Bakker, Larry Vallelonga, Mars Cervelli, and Dom Verlingeri set upon a three year musical journey that impacted their lives forever.

Sadly the band had to finish up, but in the summer of 2006, Steve gave Mario a ring and a few phone calls later 'The Claim' was practicing once more. Now with a fresh line up and new name, Point of Difference is the result.

So once more, Steve Bakker, Larry Vallelonga, Mario Cervelli were a team. In Mar 0f 2007 they saw drummer Alex Mignone join and July 2007 bassist Wolf Fetzer enter the ranks of Point of Difference.

The band have hit the ground running since Christmas Eve 2007 with their original set of songs and a couple of covers thrown in for good measure.

Point of Difference are currently working with Prison Fellowship of Australia to play in the prisons of our state and we hope this trend will continue into the other states of Australia.
